Sartell Bantams Place 3rd At VFW Tourney

The Sartell Bantam A hockey team went 2-1 March 22-24 at the VFW State Tournament in White Bear Lake.

Sartell opened the Bantam A VFW State Tournament in White Bear Lake with a 6-1 win over Rochester Red. Issac Dammen, John Schmidt, Jordan Roller, Keenan Lund and Matt Michaud were the goal scorers in the win.

The team suffered a setback against Elk River. Sartell lost the game 4-0 but felt some sense of consolation due to the fact that Elk River would go on to win the tournament.

Sartell finished the weekend with an exciting 3-2 win over host White Bear Lake in the tournament's third place game. Matt Moran scored in the game for Sartell, along with Dammen and Lund.
