‘Sandy’ Strands SCSU Women’s Hockey Team [AUDIO]

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND – The St. Cloud State University women’s hockey team is stranded on the East Coast.

Hurricane Sandy has prompted a number of closures including the region’s airports. Head Coach Jeff Giesen says they are stranded at a hotel in Providence, Rhode Island:

Giesen says they are in contact with officials back here in Minnesota. He says while nobody can predict things like this, it’s definitely going to put a strain on their budget.
