ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Salvation Army needs your help to spread the word. Christmas donations are lagging $85,000 behind last year's totals at this time.

It's one of several cities in Minnesota and North Dakota, including Mankato and Fargo, suffering a deficit.

The Salvation army says it's crucial to meet their goal because those funds will be used all next year to help those in need.

There's still plenty of time to chip in - one way is to visit any number of area grocery stores and businesses and look for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle.

Additionally, a few of those kettles will be staffed by Dave Kleis, Joe Perske and other area mayors throughout the day.
