Funeral Services will be 12 noon on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Church of God in Eden Valley for Russell C. Vadner, age 83, of Paynesville. Russell passed away December 7, 2014 at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Burial will take place in the Old Eden Lake Cemetery in Eden Valley with military honors. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 13 after 10:30 a.m. at the church in Eden Valley.

Russell was born July 8, 1931 in Buffalo Township, Wright County, MN to Lester and Alma (Coulter) Vadner. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Donna Mae Lehnen on September 23, 1955 in Glenwood, MN. He worked at AMPI in Paynesville as a creamery operator for over 37 years. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Russell is survived by his wife Donna Mae of Paynesville, sons Lester, Bruce (Jeannie) and Abraham all of Paynesville, three grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and brothers and sisters Evelyn Oswald-Johnson of Willmar, Beulah Clapshaw of New Munich, Kitty Anderson of Alexandria, Kermit of Tennessee and Walter (Lois) of Andover and sister-in-law Vivian Vadner of Fairhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents, son Charles “Tuna”, and brothers Dale, Douglas and John Vadner.
