Rubio Agrees To Join Timberwolves

Multiple reports indicate that the Timberwolves have reached an agreement with point guard Ricky Rubio to join the team for the 2011-2012 season.  The agreement took place prior to the May 31 deadline which allows Rubio to sign a rookie contract.  Rubio was taken 5th overall in the 2009 NBA draft.  He's been playing professionally in the Euroleague for Regal Barcelona.  He averaged 6.5 points and 3.5 assists a game for Barcelona this season.  The 6'5 20-year old will play for Barcelona in the Euroleague finals for the next 2 weeks.
