The Twins lost 9-1 at home against Kansas City Tuesday night.  The loss ends a 3-game win streak for Minnesota.  Scott Diamond allowed 10 hits and 4 earned runs in 6 innings to take the loss and drop to 11-7.  Ben Revere went 3-5 and both Darin Mastroanni and Justin Morneau each had 2 hits.  Josh Willingham lost a fly ball in left field in the lights and the hit led to a triple for Lozenzo Cain.

The Twins are 59-83 and will play the Royals at Target Field again tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander P.J. Walters (2-3) and righthander Luke Hochevar (7-13) toes the rubber for the Royals.

The Twins played without catcher Joe Mauer Tuesday night.  He sat because of back spasms.  Chris Parmelee missed the game with a groin injury.  He is listed as day to day.
