Kansas City beat the Twins 6-4 in K.C. Sunday to salvage the final game of the 3-game series.  Esmerling Vazquez made his first major league start and allowed 7 hits and 5 earned runs in 5 2/3 innings to take the loss and drop to 0-1.  Chris Parmelee was 2-4 with a solo homerun, Joe Mauer was 3-4 and Alexi Casilla went 2-4 with 2 RBIs for the Twins.

Minnesota is 55-79 and will open a 3-game series at Chicago against the White Sox tonight at 6:10, pregame on WJON at 5:40.  Righthander Sam Deduno (5-2) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Hector Santiago (2-1) toes the rubber for the White Sox.
