March 24, 1929 - December 1, 2014

 

Ted passed away peacefully December 1, 2014 with his family surrounding him after a long struggle with dementia. He was born on March 24, 1929. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, sibling, uncle and grandfather and a great friend to many. Ted was patient, kind, caring, loyal, faithful, and so many other qualities to everyone he encountered throughout years of business as a body shop owner and leader in many civic organizations.

He was a Veteran of the Korean War, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, a lifelong member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Lions Club, serving many positions in these organizations. He also served on the School Board in Princeton and was the President of the Princeton Credit Union. He was an avid outdoors person and enjoyed spending time with family and friends for holidays, gatherings or just a cup of coffee.
Ted is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathryn, his children, Kenneth (Gloria), Lennea Heymer (Scott), Mary Ehman, Carl (Tammy), grandchildren Christine, Thomas, Rebecca, Brian, Emily, Megan and Salina, step-grandchildren Tyler (Christina), Jordan, Kaysha, and Blake, and great-grandchildren Caleb and Violet. He is also survived by his sister Luella Lee and brother Richard and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Conrad and mother Celia Reineccius, his siblings Leona Shulstad, Lucille Kehn, Russell, LuVerne Sandstrom, Robert, Raymond, Lula Petersen, Laura Walker, Lillian Wetther, and Lauraine Coffin (Peggy).

Visitation will be Sunday, December 7 from 4 to 7 pm and one hour prior to the Memorial Service. Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Monday, December 8. Visitations and Memorial Service both at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 401 8th Ave S, Princeton, MN 55371.
