Roy E. Haga, 86, Rockville

May 7, 1929 - July 15, 2015

Memorial services will be private for Roy Haga who died Wednesday, July 15 at Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.

Roy was born in Marion, VA to Walter & Millie (Anderson) Haga. He married Phyllis Behrendt on March 10, 1951 in Chicago, IL. The couple lived in the Chicago area as well as Michigan and Wisconsin prior to moving to Minnesota in 1999. Roy worked as a chef for many restaurants over the years. He enjoyed woodworking, photography and fishing. He especially loved his family and spending time with his grandsons. He also enjoyed traveling and seeing different things.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis of Rockville; son, Richard (Margaret) of West Bend, WI; daughter, Tammy (David) Van Ormer of Rockville; grandsons, Matthew (Celi), Patrick (Cindy) and great grandsons, Aidan, Sean, and Rory. He is also survived by his brothers, Ralph, Tony, and Ray, sister, Shelby Huffman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Carl, sisters, Joyce Garner and Evelyn Henninger.
