Memorial services will be 2PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Roy Biery who died Saturday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Al Stangl will officiate and entombment will be at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Friends and relatives may call from 1-2PM on Saturday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Roy was born in Minneapolis to Roy & Gladys (Olson) Biery Sr. He served his country in the United States Navy. He married Rosemary Neu on September 19, 1964 at St. Nicolas Catholic Church in St. Nicolas. Over the years Roy worked for Northwest Orient Airlines, for Jack Frost/Golden Plump and most recently for Cold Spring Granite Company. He enjoyed to hunt and fish and loved being outdoors. He also liked anything sports related whether it was baseball, basketball, football or hockey. He loved to watch Wild Hockey and NHRA racing on TV. Most of all Roy was a great family man and loved to be with his family, they were always number one.

Survivors include his wife Rosie of Waite Park; children, David (Tammy) Biery and their son, Travis of St. Cloud; Julie (Allen) Wittrock of Sauk Rapids; sister, Beverly Hammond of Waite Park; in-laws, Alice (Alphonse) Theis of Cold Spring; Lidwina “Lou” Theis of Cold Spring; Esther (Joseph) Schrimers of St. Cloud; Lenora (Clarence) Dockendorf of South Haven and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Donald Hammond, Eldred Neu, and Alfred Theis.
