Eau Claire -- The Rox have now won their fifth game in a row Wednesday night with a 3-1 win over the Eau Claire Express at Wade Stadium.  With the win the Rox improve to 5-4 on the season.

The Rox again were the first ones to get on the board when TJ Friedl scored in the top of the first inning on a pop up.  The Rox would add two insurance runs.  The first run came in the top of the second inning when Brendon Illies hit a sacrifice fly to get an RBI.  The second insurance run came in the top of the fourth inning when Brendon hit another sacrifice fly to get another RBI.  There were also two key defensive plays that helped get the win.  The first is when Ricky Ramirez catch a deep fly ball that was at the warning tracks in the bottom of the 7th inning and the second play came from catcher Luke Ringhofer who got a lucky bounce on a wild pitch that hit the back wall to come back to him to tag the runner at home trying to score from third.

The Rox are now 5-4 on the season and will play game the final game on this four game road trip Thursday when they play game two against Eau Claire.  After Eau Claire the Rox come home for a three game home stand against the Rochester Honkers starting on Friday.
