WATERLOO, IA -- Early runs doomed the St. Cloud Rox as they fall to the Waterloo Bucks 5-3 on Saturday.

St. Cloud fell behind 4-0 after just two innings as the Bucks bats knocked Rox starter Ryan Kokora out of the game after just 1 2/3 innings.

The Rox finally cracked the scoreboard in the 4th inning, with outfielder Joe Tietjen -- who had three hits on the day -- driving in Michael Strem on an RBI double to make the score 4-1.

But the Bucks came right back the next inning to extend their lead back to four runs.

The Rox were able to score a run in the 7th and 9th, but were unable to complete the comeback -- falling 5-3 to the Bucks.

With the loss, St. Cloud falls to 14-10 on the season. The Rox will travel to take on the Eau Claire Express today at 5:05 p.m.
