The Rox made a big comeback but fell in extra innings 9-8 at Duluth on Tuesday night at a rainy Wade Stadium. St. Cloud trailed 8-2 into the eighth inning before rallying to tie the game.

The Rox took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second on a Duluth passed ball, but the Huskies scored four runs in the bottom of the second inning thanks to four walks and a St. Cloud fielding error.

St. Cloud scored five runs on four hits in the top of the eighth inning, then tied the game in the ninth to send the game to extras. The Rox failed to score in their lone trip to the plate in the tenth, and the Huskies scored, fittingly, on a throwing error in the bottom of the inning for the win.

The teams combined for 13 walks and eight errors in a game that lasted a little over three hours amid some rain and drizzle.

The Rox (3-4) return home Wednesday night for a matchup with Alexandria at Joe Faber Field.
