ST. CLOUD -- A high power offense from the Mankato MoonDogs proved too much for the St. Cloud Rox as they fell 8-3 in game one this afternoon (Monday).

The Rox jumped ahead of the MoonDogs in the fourth off a Boo Vazquez single that brought in Bradley Strong.

Josh Taylor took the mound for the Rox. He pitched five innings giving up six hits while striking out eight.

Mankato's Morgan Phillips went 2-for-4 in the game including a solo home run in the eighth inning.

Both teams play again tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Franklin Rogers Park, which will conclude the first half of the 2014 season.

St. Cloud holds a 18-16 record.

You can listen to the Rox all season long on AM 1390 The Fan.
