The St. Cloud Rox clinched a playoff spot for the first time in team history with a doubleheader sweep of the Willmar Stingers at Joe Faber Field Sunday. The Rox took game one 6-2 before winning game two 3-0.

The last time a St. Cloud Northwoods League team earned a playoff spot was 2009, when the Rox were still known as the River Bats.

St. Cloud currently has the best overall record in the North Division at 43-23, and lead the Willmar Stingers by 4.5 games in the second-half standings with record of 24-8.

The Rox are at Rochester Monday and Wednesday to take on the Honkers. First pitch for both games is scheduled for 7:05, with pregame coverage on AM 1390 The Fan beginning at 6:35.
