ST. PAUL - The State Public Utilities Commission has approved 10 route changes to the CAPX2020 project.

The changes to the high voltage transmission line are along the route from St. Cloud to Freeport.

CAPX2020 spokesman Darrin Lahr says property owners requested the changes.

The CAPX2020 line mainly follows Interstate 94 from Fargo to Sauk Centre, but it veers south near Freeport and continue to a new substation in St. Cloud.

Lahr says they're hoping to break ground on this phase of the project yet this winter.  It will be done by the end of 2015.

The phase of the project that runs from Monticello to St. Cloud is already well underway.
