Rosemary F. “Rosie” Gill, 67, St. Joseph

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Rosemary F. “Rosie” Gill, 67, of St. Joseph will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Rosie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. The St. Joseph Senior Citizens will pray the rosary at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Rosie was born on October 22, 1947 in St. Cloud to the late Leon and Frances (Niebolte) Salzer. She graduated from Technical High School in 1965. Rosie married Albert V. Gill on June 6, 1970 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Rosie was employed as a dietary aide first at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph and later at Assumption Home in Cold Spring. She was a life member of St. Joseph’s Parish, a member of St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens and Catholic United Financial.

Rosie enjoyed cooking, gardening and playing bingo. She will be remembered as a caring and loving mother and friend.

Rosie is survived by her sons, Tim (Melanie) of Monticello, Jason (Katy) of St. Joseph; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 2002; and parents.

Memorials are preferred.
