Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Rosemarie I. Laudenbach, 83, of St. Cloud. Rose passed away peacefully at Quiet Oaks Hospice House on November 17, 2016 surrounded in love by each of her kids, grandkids, and family. Rev. Greg Lieser and Archbishop Michael Jackels will concelebrate and burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 4-8PM on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home on Veterans Drive in St. Cloud, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Rosemarie Irene Jackels was born April 29, 1933 in Duelm, MN, 1 of 14 children of John & Frances Jackels. She was married to Earl Laudenbach on September 2, 1954, for a cherished 44 years, and later married Roman Pierskalla for 12 years. Rose was a Registered Nurse, graduated from the St. Cloud School of Nursing, and later completed her Bachelor’s Degree at St. Francis College in Joliet, Illinois. She was employed at the Anoka State Hospital, the St. Cloud Hospital, the Minnesota Correction Facility, and the Central Minnesota Mental Health Center. Rose had a true passion for nursing and caring for others, and following her retirement continued finding opportunities to provide care to those in need.

Rose enjoyed many activities; playing cards, golfing, reading, dancing, camping, walking, church, and praying. Her grandkids would tell you, she was “hip.” But most would say, Rose was happiest when she was with family. Holidays, Birthdays, special occasions and celebrations were the highlights of her life; and she always shared just how proud she was of her entire family.

Survivors include her children, Mary Jo (Richard) Paulson of St. Cloud, John (Jan) of Long Lake, Steve (Margaret) of Coon Rapids, Ron (Stephi) of Spokane, WA, Mark (Cindy) of South Haven, Joe (Jill) of Ramsey, and Joyce (David) Engberg of St. Augusta; her step-children Roman (Linda Gustafson) Pierskalla Jr. of Buffalo, Karen (Bob) Pogatschnik of Cold Spring, Peggy (Dan) Kerestes of Stafford, VA, Mike (Rebecca)Pierskalla of Avon; sisters, Carol (Jerry) Brunn of Becker, Alice (Richard Jefferson) Johnson of Blaine; brother, LeRoy (Chounphit) Jackels of Wheaton, IL; 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and her upcoming 12th great grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Hattie Laudenbach, Theresa Schmidt, Margaret (Pete) Fleck, Shirley Hohnstadt, Lucy Laudenbach, Andy Bechtold, Ernie (Arlene) Laudenbach, Lenny (Marge) Laudenbach, Rosie (Dick) Taufen, Rich Witte, Mike (Irene) Laudenbach, Dan (Sue) Laudenbach, Toni (Ron) Nelson; long- time friend, Judy Brannan; and many, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Earl; second husband Roman; daughter, Ann Marie; sisters, Lillian Trewick, Joyce Hellweg, Joanne Jackels, Marceline Mahan; brothers, Ronald, Maurice, Eugene, Kenneth, Joseph, and William; also her brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerry Laudenbach, June (Gilbert) Schmidt, Bill Laudenbach, Bernie Laudenbach, Bernadette Bechtold, Ceil Witte, and Irene Laudenbach.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Quiet Oaks Hospice House of St. Augusta, MN or the Alzheimer’s Research Center.
