Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Rose Dobos, age, 97, who died Tuesday at the Country Manor Nursing Home in Sartell. The Rev. Thomas Knobloch will officiate and burial will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Opole. Visitation will be from 4-7PM Thursday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud and 1 hour prior to services Friday at the church in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be prayed at 5PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Rose was born December 10, 1918 in Brockway Township, rural Stearns County to Peter & Sophie (Mastey) Sobania. She married John P. Dobos on October 19, 1937 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Opole. She and her husband farmed in Brockway Township from 1937-1968. They moved into St. Cloud in 1969 and she was employed by Vision Ease for 18 years until her retirement in 1983. Rose walked strongly in her faith; she is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud and the St. Anthony’s Christian Women. She also volunteered as a Sacristan for Country Manor for over 10 years and RSVP. Rose enjoyed quilting and Crewel Embroidery. She was hardworking, tough, and good hearted; most importantly her family meant the world to her and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughters, Beverly (Edwin) Pierskalla of St. Cloud, Marlene (Rich) Yurczyk of St. Wendel, Shirley (Alphonse) Skwira of Rice; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and greatly anticipated the birth of three additional great-great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; siblings, Edward Sobania,
Clara Kroll, Norbert Sobania, Delores Janski, and Art Sobania; and great grandson, Kendrick.

Rose’s family would like to thank the staff at Country Manor for their care and compassion.
