A Memorial Service will be at 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN for Rosalyn Pearl (Dunteman) Zvorak, age 95, who died Tuesday at the Assumption Nursing Home. A gathering of relatives and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.

Rosalyn was born in Lyon County, MN on May 16, 1922 to Herman and Laura (Sathoff) Dunteman. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Tracy, MN and graduated from Tracy High School. Rosalyn attended and graduated from the Marshall Nursing School and later completed her LPN degree. She was united in marriage to Charles F. Zvorak on December 23, 1944. To this union three sons were born, Royce, Charles A. and Dwight.

Rosalyn spent the majority of her life in Russell and in her later years moved to Cold Spring. Her career as a nurse was spent primarily at the A.L. Vadhein Memorial Hospital in Tyler; she retired after forty-seven years of service.

Rosalyn was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 460 and involved with Cub Scouting when her sons were younger. She was active with the United Presbyterian Women at the First Presbyterian Church in Russell, the Senior Citizens group of Cold Spring and leader of the Loss Support Group.

Rosalyn enjoyed gardening and supplying friends and family with summer time produce and delighted many people with her counted cross stitch creations. She was a devoted wife and mother and was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Royce and Marisa (Lòpez), Charles A. and Lee Ann (Braun), Dwight and Paulette (Buesing); 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and special friend Avis Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F.; parents; parent-in-laws, Roy and Ellen (Erickson) Zvorak; brother, Gerald Dunteman sisters, Viona Pagel. Annola Pagel and Laurene Harris.
