ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Roosevelt School building on 3rd Street North was destroyed in a fire over the weekend.

The original part of the building was built in 1920, and was used as an elementary school for District 742.

Superintendent Willie Jett says the building was a big part of that neighborhood.

In recent years it has been used as an Early Childhood Center, Welcome Center, and Summer School location.
