WINNIPEG, MB -- Rookie guard Tyus Jones rebounded from a poor debut by nearly posting a double-double in the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-105 preseason loss to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.

Jones went scoreless in Wednesday's preseason opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but the Apple Valley native bounced back to finish with 18 points (including going 3-for-3 from three-point range) and nine assists in Saturday's game.

Fellow rookie and first overall pick in this year's draft, Karl-Anthony Towns, continued to look impressive by scoring 13 points and nabbing 10 rebounds.

Shabazz Muhammad and Spanish import Nemanja Bjelica each finished in double figures, scoring 12 and 11 points, respectively.

The Timberwolves continue the preseason with a game against the Toronto Raptors on Monday.
