Roland “Rollie” J. Michael, age 83, of Princeton passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Elim Nursing Home in Princeton. Rollie was born on March 22, 1931 in Sarles, North Dakota to Bernard and Iona “Toni” (Outram) Michael.

Rollie grew up in the Albany area; where his father was superintendent of Albany Schools. After graduation Rollie attended North Dakota State University where he received his degree in Pharmacy. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Upon entering the Navy, Rollie had a perfect score on his Naval entrance exam; and he was very proud of this accomplishment throughout his life. Rollie was united in marriage to Rachel Angove on May 20, 1969 in Minneapolis. He owned his own pharmacy in Minneapolis and eventually moving to Princeton in 1972 where the couple bought property for hunting and farming. Rollie worked for Kapsner’s Drug in Princeton until his retirement. He had a strong work ethic; taking care of the pharmacy, running the farm, and taking care of his family all in a day’s time. He will be dearly missed.

Rollie is survived by his sons, Bob (Jody Hoeft) Michael of Princeton, Jim (Paula Peterson) of Zimmerman; siblings, Eunice Wilson of Winona, Richard (Karen) Michael of Arizona; grandchildren, Austin, Eden, and Kari Jo. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Rachel in 2003.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10AM, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton.
