Roger P. Kronenberg, 78, Waite Park

December 6, 1939 - December 23, 2017

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11AM on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Roger P. Kronenberg, age 78, who passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital on Saturday, December 23, 2017. Rev. Mark Stang will officiate and burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 4-8PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 and one hour prior to services on Thursday all at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Roger was born December 6, 1939 in St. Cloud to Phillip and Helen (Koetter) Kronenberg. He met the love of his life while shaking dice at Club Almar in St. Augusta; it was truly love at first sight. Roger married Janet Winkelman on November 28, 1962 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. He constructed silos and later was employed at Waldorf Paper Company until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, and walked strongly in his faith. Roger was also a member of the Eagles #622. He enjoyed fishing for Sunfish and Crappie, cribbage, and playing cards. Roger was an easy going guy with a sharp sense of humor. He was caring and helpful to family and friends; but above all else he was a man who loved his family beyond words and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet of Waite Park; children, Deborah (Dan Crowe) Midas of St. Cloud, Ruth (Chuck Daniel) Kronenberg of St. Cloud, Lois (Al Winscher) Kronenberg of Sartell, Sherri (Lowell) Brown of Cold Spring, Jason (Sharon Decker) Kronenberg of St. Cloud; sister, Dorine Barg of Avon; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and step mother, Agnes Kronenberg.
