Roger E. Bienusa, 77, of Staples, MN died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Monday January 12, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, MN, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples and also one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples, MN.

Roger was born on May 22, 1937 in Staples, MN to George and Iris (Garnett) Bienusa. He grew up and graduated from Staples High School in 1955. Roger was a pinsetter at the bowling alley as a young man, worked as a brakeman on the railroad and was also a semi truck driver. Roger was united in marriage to Sharon Wing on August 29, 1959 in Crystal, MN. He worked at Northern Pump where he began his career as a machinist. He then went on to work at McCourtney Plastics and RKO Tool where he opened the plant in Staples. He purchased the plant in 1988 which then became Staples Mold and Engineering. Roger retired in 2001. He enjoyed bowling, old cars, fishing, snowmobiling, machining, motorcycles, golfing, playing cards, traveling and sports. Roger was proud of his hole in one’s, but especially was proud of his family, children, grandchildren and his company.

Roger is survived by his children; Colleen (Tim) Marsh, Gloria (Ross) Luebke, George (Patricia) Bienusa, Patrick (Kelly) Bienusa, Linda (Allan) Ness, Beverly Anderson (Steve MacRunnels), Roger (Julie) Bienusa, Jelene (Scott) Coyer, Ronald (Jenny) Bienusa, Heather Bienusa (Todd Hoemberg), A.J. Bienusa (Jennifer Ziegler); two brothers, Dennis (Lucy) Bienusa, Gerald Bienusa; one sister, Janice Monnot; 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; one daughter, Kathleen; two sisters, JoAnn and Eleanor; and one brother, Al. On behalf of the family, the funeral date is Sharon’s birthday.
