COLD SPRING - The ROCORI school district will be honoring their Superintendent Scott Staska today (Wednesday).

He was named "Minnesota's Superintendent of the year" by the Minnesota Association of School Administrators last fall.

Today there will be an open house for him, starting at 4:00 p.m. in the high school commons area.

Staska has been the superintendent at ROCORI since 2002.

During his time in the district he's lead them through a shooting in 2003, in 2009 ROCORI had the first case of H1N1 in the state, they're currently working on a $30 million construction project, and most recently he has dealt with the incident of a gun and ammunition found at the middle school earlier this year.
