ROCORI to Vote on Two Levy Questions [AUDIO]

COLD SPRING – Voters in the ROCORI school district will be voting on two levy questions on Tuesday.

Superintendent Scott Staska was on WJON with Jay Caldwell this (Friday) morning.  He says, because both questions are asking voters to continue levies that are already in place, property taxes will not increase.

The first question is asking for the renewal of a $276,000 levy that’s set to expire at the end of this year.

The second question is asking to combine that levy with a levy that’s set to expire in 2013.  If both questions pass, the new combine $1.1 million levy would be in place for 10 years.
