COLD SPRING -- For the second time in two weeks, the ROCORI Middle School is dealing with an incident of a weapon found in the school.

Superintendent Scott Staska says three students reported to Principal Cheryl Schmidt that they had seen another student with a knife.

Principal Schmidt found the student with the knife and handled the situation within minutes.

Staska would not say how old the student was, or what grade they were in.  But he did say it was a female student.  Staska described the knife as an extended pocket knife.  He says they will follow the district's weapons policy for dealing with the student.

The incident happened this (Wednesday) morning.
