COLD SPRING - Rocori showed support for one of its most famous graduates, wide receiver Eric Decker of the Denver Broncos, during its "Eric Decker Day" pep rally on Thursday.

The rally was held to celebrate Decker's upcoming appearance in Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday. Decker was a 2005 Rocori graduate before joining the Minnesota Gophers to continue his football career.

The Rocori band and dance teams both performed during the rally. It was easy to tell which team Rocori will be rooting for during the big game, just about everyone wore orange to support Decker and the Denver Broncos. The school also sold Eric Decker t-shirts before the rally.

Eric's Grandmother Bernice attended the rally, she says she's excited but nervous to watch the upcoming Superbowl.

"It really takes an awful lot out of me," Bernice said with a smile.

Decker was a three sport athlete during his time at Rocori, playing football, basketball and baseball. Decker set a single season school record in football by making 62 catches for 1053 yards. Decker was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft.
