ST. CLOUD -- Stearns County authorities have charged a Rockville man with first degree criminal sexual conduct after a woman accused him of repeatedly raping her while she stayed at his home last winter. Forty-seven-year-old Marquell Goree is being held in the Stearns County Jail on $400,000 bail.

Court records show Goree met the victim at the Place of Hope in St. Cloud in early January. He invited her back to his place where she stayed for several days.  The victim says she only knew the man as "Lowdown" and did not know his real name.

The woman told investigators Goree limited her ability to leave the home and communicate with others. She said Goree forced her to smoke methamphetamine and raped her as many as 10 to 15 times while she was there. The woman was able to leave the home but couldn't identify him to police.

Court records show she spotted the man she knew as "Lowdown" on Friday and called police. Officers arrested the man and identified him as Goree.

Goree's due back in court June 19th.
