Robert “Shtubby” Hennen, 71, Cold Spring

June 18, 1943 – October 12, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2014 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Robert “Shtubby” Hennen, age 71, who died Sunday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16th at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish Prayers will be at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., Friday morning at the funeral home.

Shtubby was born in Richmond to Math and Alvina (Hansen) Hennen. He married Mary Ann Theis on December 15, 1972 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring. Shtubby served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1963-1969. He was a positive, energetic guy who loved to be the life of the party. Shtubby, his brother, Rich and brother-in-law, Delroy worked together and owned RDR Flooring. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, classic Ford cars and being with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ann; children, Wendy (Dan) Maiers, Kari (Mike) Jennings, Mike (Dani) Hennen; twin brother, Rich (Del) Hennen; sisters, Jeanette Hennen and Dori (Mike) Meyer; in-laws, Willie Theis, El (Judy) Theis, Delroy Theis, Liz (Joe) Braegelmann, Rose Mueller; 8 grandchildren, Brooke, Allie, Megan, Taylor, Summer, Stephanie, Sara, Hailey; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Don Hennen and Jeff Mueller.
