November 10, 1957 - February 18, 2015

 

Robert Peter Lindstrom, age 56, of Onamia passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in Onamia. Robert was born on November 10, 1957 in Minneapolis to Robert Sr. and Jean (Koltyk) Lindstrom. Fishing was in Robert’s blood and he started that passion at the age of 14 when he took on the role of captain for the fishing launch and continued that role throughout his life. He had a great work ethic working as a carpenter and always lived by the motto “All or Nothing.” He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He was sociable with everyone and called everyone friend. His family meant the world to him and he was the best dad and friend anyone could ask for. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by the mother of his children Peggy Gillispie of Zimmerman; children, Carly (Cory) Halbmaier or Zimmerman and Rory (Lecora Gruendemann) Lindstrom of Princeton; father Robert Lindstrom Sr. of Aitkin; siblings, Susan Kalk of Deerwood and Lisa Anderson of Princeton; nieces and nephews, Hailey, Emma, Curtis, Jacob, Bradley and Richard; significant other Christine Kegg and her grandson Johnny Boyd of Onamia.

He was preceded in death by his mother Jean; maternal and paternal grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
