Robert L. Tschann, 76, Paynesville

August 3, 1939 - January 7, 2016

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Robert L. “Bob” Tschann, 76, of Paynesville will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Bob passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Glenn Krystosek will officiate. Inurnment with military honors will be in St. Louis Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Arrangements are with Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville.

Bob was born on August 3, 1939 to Leo and Sally (Opdahl) Tschann. He attended Paynesville Elementary and graduated from Paynesville High School in 1957. He served in the US Army and upon discharge returned to Paynesville. Bob married Luanne Hautala on July 24, 1971 in Brainerd and they resided in Paynesville. Bob began his career as a salesman working with his father at the Paynesville Grain & Feed. Over the years, he continued his work as a salesman with various businesses in the Paynesville area. He also drove special education school bus for many years. Bob was a member of St. Louis Parish, the Paynesville American Legion Post #271, and the Knights of Columbus Council #3820.

He enjoyed fishing, Minnesota Gopher Football, all high school sports, bowling and fantasy football. Bob will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Luanne; sons, Matthew of Paynesville, Anthony (Jona Johnson) of Duluth; granddaughter, Charlie of Duluth; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
