Robert J. Boeckmann, 68, Foley & formerly St. Augusta

March 18, 1947 - December 26, 2015

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville for Robert J. Boeckmann, age 68, of Foley who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday St. Mary Help of Christian Cemetery in St. Augusta. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robert was born March 18, 1947 in Saint Cloud to Wendelin and Ruth (Botz) Boeckmann. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Robert was a resident of Foley for the past two years previously residing in St. Augusta the majority of his adult life. He worked as an accountant in the Saint Cloud area for most of his professional life. Robert was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville. He was an avid outdoorsman, often found trap shooting or fishing. He also enjoyed reading books, attending movies and playing cards. Robert was a very devout catholic and he spent much of his spare time studying the Catholic faith.

Robert is survived by the mother of his children, Rita Thein of Saint Cloud; children, Chad (Kelli) of Plymouth, Ryan (Chrissy) of St. Augusta, Stephanie (Jeff) Matthes of Ann Arbor, MI; siblings, Karen Kedrowski of St. Augusta, Linda Blaisdell of Gilman, Sue Zenzen of Saint Cloud, Jeanie Pederson of Pine River, Nancy Boeckmann of Gilman, Gary Boeckmann of Pequot Lakes, Kathy Boeckmann of Sauk Rapids; and beloved grandchildren, Gracie, Connor, Nolan and Colton. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
