Robert “Bob” William Otto, age 83, of Princeton, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at the University of Minnesota, Fairview Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Robert William Otto was born on February 20, 1933 in Foley, MN, the son of Clarence and Ellen (Hansen) Otto. He entered and served proudly in the United States Marines where he received a Purple Heart and a Star. Robert was united in marriage to Nadine J. Neumiller on June 8, 1955. To this union, 7 children were born. Bob was a man of many talents; he was a cabinet maker, worked as a farmer and did custom farming, worked at Princeton Lanes and at Greenway Implement which is now Midwest Implement. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He was also a faithful member at St. Ed’s. Bob enjoyed doing puzzles, woodworking, camping and caring for his yard. Bob was a man who loved helping others, no matter the task. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were especially dear to his heart. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Nadine; children, Alan (Elaine) Otto, Ruth Ann (Kenneth) Mancuso, Thomas (Karla) Otto, Joane (Craig) Christianson, Geriann (Shawn) Friday and Paul Otto; grandchildren, Robert P. (Amanda) Otto, Maxwell Otto, Tammy (Brett) Schmidt, Timothy (Alicia) Wiltsey, Tabitha (Mike) Mineheine, Caleb Mancuso, Shantelle Otto, Travis (Claire) Henke, Tyler Henke, Megan Auger, Haley Auger, Joseph Otto and Birgitte Otto; great grandchildren, Noah Schmidt, Amee Wiltsey, Kiya Wiltsey, Elizabeth Wiltsey, Natasha James, Trevor Henke and Hunter Ward; brothers, Joseph Otto and Raymond Sr.; sister-in-law Sylvia Otto; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Leo and Conrad; grandson Tayler Otto; and sisters-in-law, Violet and Betty.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 4-7PM at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 11AM at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish, North Campus in Princeton, with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Edward’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
