Robert “Bob” E. Bogart, 81, St. Cloud

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Robert “Bob” E. Bogart, age 81, of St. Cloud, who passed away on September 9, 2015 at his home. The Reverend Tom Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday (TODAY) at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 12 NOON on Saturday at the Church. Parish Prayers will be at 5:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Robert was born on May 5, 1934 to Alphonse and Ellen Florence (Johnson) Bogart in St. Cloud. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1952. He married Patricia “Pat” Ann Reger on October 19, 1957 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hopkins. They were married for 58 years. Bob honorably served his country in the United States Army. At age 16, Bob began building houses with his father, and eventually joined the BAC Local 4 in St. Cloud to complete his apprenticeship and begin his Journeyman. He eventually completed his Journeyman with BAC Local 1 of Minnesota. He owned Bogart Concrete and Masonery and then worked for Gresser Inc. in Eagen for 24 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, BAC Local 4 in St. Cloud, BAC Local 1 in St. Paul, and the International Union BAC.
During the 1960’s and 70’s he was an accomplished trapshooter at Del-Tone Kennel and Gun Club, an avid pilot and golfer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children, brothers and brothers-in-law. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Brownsville, TX.
He is survived by his wife; children, Linda (Phil) Tidd of Pequot Lakes, Mike of Big Lake, Greg (Kate) of Corrales, NM, Ellen (Stephen) Clements of Richfield, Paul (Denita) of Cambridge, Jeff of Duluth, and Brian (Rebecca) of St. Bonifacius; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and step-mother Laura Morrisey; son-in-law Ryan Ludwig; brothers, Gary and Alphonse and sister, Marilyn.
