Richmond Woman Hurt in House Fire

RICHMOND -- A Richmond woman was hurt in a house fire early Monday morning.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says crews were called to 18941 Fall Ridge Road in Richmond, shortly before 8:00 a.m. to put out the blaze.

The home owner, 91-year-old Dorothy Olson says the fire started when she used a small kitchen appliance, she tried to put out the fire but it grew to quickly.

Olson was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for precaution. Sanner says the home is believed to be a total loss.

The fire is currently under investigation.
