Richard E. Dehn, 72, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Elim Home in Milaca.

Richard was born on August 14, 1943 in Anoka, MN, the son of Louie and Lurencia (Schumacher) Dehn. He grew up on the family farm in Anoka where he attended school and worked on the farm. In 1980 he moved to Princeton near the bowling alley. Richard was united in marriage to Barbara Joann Robinson on May 29, 1986 in Princeton. In 1999 the couple moved into their current home in Princeton. Richard worked as a machinist at Dayton Rogers in St. Louis Park for 32 years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards, playing pool, going bowling, traveling, and collecting stones, coins and pewter. He had a passion for music from the 1950’s-1980’s and was always listening to music. He also loved to garden vegetables and flowers. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and pets. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Joann; children Wendy Dehn Shipman and Kim (Tim) Orr; step-children, Nancy (Bernie) Stubbs, Kathy (Larry) McGhan, Marty (Jeff) Williams, William Gilbert III, Melody (JP) Gilbert and Bunny Gilbert; grandchildren, Nicole, Stephanie, Heather, Brent, Jeremy, Tory, Tommy, Stephen, Heather, Jennifer, William IV, Laci, Tiffany, Daniel, David, Isaac and Ruth; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Archie, Louie (Joan) and Lavina; along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Alvin, Edward and Bernice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish, North Campus, in Princeton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton.
