Richard “Dick” Schreifels, 73, Richmond

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Richard “Dick” Schreifels, age 73, who died Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, and from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Richard was born in Richmond to Stephen and Ida (Hennen) Schreifels. He married Betty Weeres on June 20, 1964 in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. He served in the Army National Guard. Richard worked for Johnson Brothers Corp. for 31 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, collecting John Deere two-cylinder tractors, and being with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; children, Jeffrey (Melissa), Cindy Schreifels, Steven, and Amy (Ross) Kolander; siblings, Harold (Beverly), Delroy (Lillian), Lucille (Kenneth) Miller, David (Anne), and Carol (Virgil) Spoden; grandchildren, Adam, Mishayla, Joshua, Kelsey, Mikayla, Noah, and Luke.
