Rice Woman Hurt In Rollover

RICE -- A Rice woman is hurt after crashing and rolling her vehicle Thursday morning in Langola Township.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened just after 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 2 and 16th Avenue Northwest near Rice.

A van driven by 51-year-old Mary Houk of Rice attempted to pass a truck taking a left turn. The two vehicles collided and caused Houk's van to roll on its side.

Houk was hospitalized with minor injuries and cited for failing to drive with due care.

The driver of the truck, 37-year-old Steve Harren of Rice, was not hurt in the crash.
