ST. CLOUD -- Still trying to find a new years resolution? Why not give up a few hours of your day to volunteer.

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, help others, and provide a sense of accomplishment.

United Way Marketing and Communications Manager Jessica Johnson says non-profit organizations rely a lot on volunteers.

Johnson says they have over 300 ways you can volunteer and you don't need a specific skill set to help out.

United Way is flexible when it comes to working around your schedules. Johnson says they encourage family volunteering.

Johnson says there is a lot of benefits to volunteering such as giving back to the community, meeting new people, and working on your resume.

If you're interested in becoming a volunteer you can call their volunteer coordinator at 252-0227 or visit their website at unitedwayhelps.org.
