ST. CLOUD - We love our hockey here in St. Cloud. That's according to a new list of "America's Best Hockey Towns" put together by the website SmartAsset.com.

The nationally ranked St. Cloud State University men's hockey team, the Granite City Lumberjacks, and the annual Granite City Pond Hockey Championships all helped St. Cloud land at number eight on the list. The website says St. Cloud's surrounding 160 lakes and ponds don't hurt either.

Grand Forks tops the list for the second year in a row. Mankato is at number six, thanks to back-to-back WCHA championships by the Mavericks. Bemidji came in at number 10.

SmartAssets looked at data on fan intensity and quality of life in 123 U.S. towns.
