Report: Minnesota Has 6th Highest ‘Tax Burden’

UNDATED - You hear all the time about our high taxes in Minnesota, but is it a fact or fiction? The website WalletHub released their annual "Tax Burden" report.

They say Minnesota has the 6th highest overall tax burden in the U.S. We have the 18th highest average property tax, the 6th highest individual income tax, and the 19th highest total sales and gross receipts tax.

WalletHub says New York is the state with the highest tax burden, followed by Hawaii, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, and then Minnesota.
