ST. CLOUD -- A repeat drunk driver was arrested again this weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The incident happened just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 7th Street North and 30th Avenue North in St. Cloud.

Sergeant Jason Burke says officers stopped a vehicle driven by 43-year-old John Jenkins, of St. Cloud, for an equipment violation. When the officer approached he noticed Jenkins showed signs of impairment.

He was given an on scene field sobriety test, which he failed, and was arrested for DWI. He refused another sobriety test at the Stearns County Jail.

Jenkins has six prior DWI incidents on his driving record, including felonies, and his drivers license has been cancelled.

Jenkins faces charges of 1st degree DWI, 1st Degree Test Refusal and driving with a cancelled license.
