Repeat Drunk Driver Arrested Again

ST. AUGUSTA -- A repeat drunk driver was arrested early this (Wednesday) morning on suspicion he was driving drunk again.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 46-year-old Kenneth Hoffmann of South Haven was arrested in St. Augusta along County Road 7 at about 12:45 a.m.

The deputy stopped to helped a motorist who appeared to have car trouble. The deputy determined Hoffman was the driver and had been drinking. The deputy also found several open containers in the vehicle.

Hoffman, who has at least five prior DWI convictions, also has a canceled license.

He was taken to jail where he faces first degree DWI, driving with a canceled license and open container.
