I'm busy...So busy that I don't have time to go grocery shopping, let alone buy new clothes. I'm lucky that I have a fashionable mother who knows my sizes and styles. She's like my personal shopper. If I didn't have her, this would be something I'd try.

Monthly clothing rental sites are all the rage right now. If you want to keep up with the latest fashions, if you have limited closet space, if you want to save time and money on laundry each week, this might be the answer for you. I've found so many different options, but take a look at this list and let me know if you've ever tried a rental clothing site. Let me know the advantages and disadvantages of utilizing these services. Send your story to kelly@mix949.com.

RENT THE RUNWAY

Do you have a black tie affair coming up?  Rent The Runway has a wide variety of high priced dresses in sizes 0 to 22. The site is set up so that you can filter by size, length, and color..and you can also add favorite pieces that might catch your attention. There is also a gallery of photos so you can see what the dresses look like on real people, rather than studio models. You can also consult with a stylist via phone, email or chat to help order things that might round out your look with shapewear and accessories to complete the look you want. You can also order a second size, which can make it a lot less stressful to order a gown close to your event date; just to make sure it fits.

LE TOTE

Le Tote is a monthly clothing subscription service. With Le Tote, you can 'heart' an item to add to your wish list, and in each box you receive, you get at least one hand chosen item from that wish list, plus you get other items that your Le Tote stylist picks out for you based on your interests. NOTE: The sizes are only from 0 -12 XS-L only.

If you get something you fall in love with, you can keep the item and purchase it, and then send the rest back. Your clothing box will cost you $59 a month, and you can also get a Boutique Box for $49 or a Jewelry Box for $19.

GWYNNIE BEE

On the opposite side of the fence, this site is for plus sizes. The site has several monthly plan options, from 1 item per month up to 10 garments per month. This company gives you the opportunity to try several brands and trends without the disappointment of wasting money on poorly fitting garments. Shirt and dresses sizes go up to size 32, but pants only to 24. You receive a new shipment of the smae amount of items that you sent back.
