SARTELL -- The winners of this morning's round of the Regional Spelling Bee for central Minnesota have been announced.

Eighth grader Jessica Scheer from Annandale took first place. Eighth grader Kyle Little from Dassel-Cokato was the runner up and eighth grader Jacob Franzmeier came in third.

The winner for the afternoon bee was eighth grader Covin Bell from Rush City. He won in the 14th round with the word genre. Eight grader Jacob Huotari from Delano was the runner up.

The Spelling Bee was held at the Resource Training and Solutions office in Sartell.

Scheer, Little, Bell and Huotari will advance to the Multi-Regional State Spelling Bee on Tuesday, February 25th at the Lakes County Service Cooperative in Fergus Falls.
