The Vikings lost 38-26 at Washington to the Redskins Sunday afternoon.  Robert Griffin III secured the win by reeling off a 76-yard touchdown run with 2:43 left.  The Vikings took a 9-0 lead but trailed 17-9 at halftime.  Washington went out to a 30-12 lead before Minnesota mounted a comeback.  The Vikings got as close as 30-26 before Griffin scored on the long touchdown run.

Christian Ponder was 35-52 passing for 352 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions.  One of his picks was returned by former Vikings Madieu Williams for a touchdown.  Percy Harvin led the Vikings with 11 catches for 133 yards and Adrian Peterson had 79 yards rushing on 17 carries and 7 catches for 50 yards.  Kyle Rudolph and Michael Jenkins each had touchdown receptions for the Vikings.

Minnesota outgained the Redskins 421 yards to 361 but the Vikings committed 3 turnovers compared to 1 for Washington.
