Red Sox Top Twins 8-5; Make Roster Moves

The Red Sox topped the Twins 8-5 in Fort Myers, Florida last night.  Ervin Santana threw 5 shutout innings with 1 hit allowed and 2 strikeouts.  J.T. Graham allowed 6 hits and 6 earned runs in 1/3 of an inning to take the loss for the Twins.  Kennys Vargas and Jordan Schaefer each had 2 hits for the Twins.

The Twins are 12-15-3 this spring and will play the Red Sox in Florida tonight at 6:05.

The Twins have optioned catchers Eric Fryer and Josmil Pinto to Triple-A Rochester which means Chris Herrman had won the backup catcher job and Eduardo Nunez has won a bench job.
