The Twins lost 2-1 in 11 innings at Boston Monday night. Carl Crawford doubled in the game-winning run in the 11th inning against Jim Hoey for Boston. Jason Kubel had a RBI single in the 8th inning for the Twins. Denard Span, Justin Morneau, Michael Cuddyer and Luke Hughes each had 2 hits for the Twins. Minnesota managed 10 hits (all singles). Nick Blackburn threw 6 1/3 innings with 7 hits and 1 earned run allowed. The Twins have the worst record in baseball at 12-21 and 10 games back of Cleveland for first place in the American League Central.
